Honestly I haven't done anything today. I just woke up and it's 3PM. But, I saw a really awesome show last night, and the lineup went a little like this:

For the rest of today I intend to probably lay in bed, and watch the new season of Arrested Development. Then maybe go to a vegan cook out later this evening at a friends place.

Snippets Sunday #9

Hey ya'll. Happy Sunday. :) This is super late because of how crazy my Friday and Saturday were, haha. So, here's a story:

Friday night: Erik and Ali called me telling me about a house show in Denton. Honestly the first thing I thought of was Dave's. But then I get the invite on Facebook and it's totally definitely not there, so I am skeptical as hell about it. Anyhow, they tell me they're already on their way, so I should call Torry because he hadn't left yet. I call Torry, he's stoked to have someone make the drive with him. He picks me up around 10, and his band The Nitch Pickens were on the set list to play around 11pm or 11:30pm. Denton is like a 30 minute drive, depending on traffic. The problem we had was that Torry and I are BOTH THE WORST WITH DIRECTIONS. So, we take the wrong exit because Torry is gungho set on the fact that it must be a different exit since it's not at Dave's house. He calls a few people once we've drifted through like five neighborhoods not resembling the makings of a house show in sight. No one can give him decent directions until one person mentions it's the same exit you take for Dave's. Sooooo, long "we're lost" story short, we get back on the highway, take the right exit. We're literally a block away, it is 11 on the dot pm, when I get a phone call from Ali. I answer and she says, "wherever you are, don't come to the house yet, it just got busted by the police." I tell Torry, we make a right, park the car, and Torry gets on the phone with Chris (the host). Torry basically just gives him advice on how to handle the cop, and literally five minutes later the cop was gone. Only issue was, no more music. So, the Nitch Pickens and Cat People and another band I can't remember the name of, all didn't get to play the show. It was bummer. But, we went for food, and talked a lot. Torry dropped me off at my place around 5AM.

Saturday night: Granted I was still sleepy from the previous night, I woke up around 1 in the afternoon. Erik got to my house at about 6pm to pick me up because we were on schedule to work the 420 show at 1919. We walked around the Fort Worth Arts Festival for a little while waiting for Stephen to get off work. Then finally made it over to 1919. Fiending Flesh, Mountains of Smoke, Collick, Bitch Teeth, Spacebeach, & Elesh Norn, all played. It was a really good show. I had a pretty bad headache by the end though. Then there was an after party at pizzahaus next door. It was a hip hop show. DarkCloud went on first, which I'm really glad Torry gave that kid the opportunity. He flows so fucking clean, I swear. Then there was supposed to be some other artists, but we ended up having to cut the night short just cos residents and tech difficulties. But anyhow, last people to go on were Black Problems. And damn, when I say they tore it up, they seriously tore that shit up. It was amazing. I love those guys. Anyhow, I got home around 5:45AM. And I slept all of my Sunday away, haha.

Snippets Sunday #8

Hey ya'll. Today was a really chill Sunday, honestly. I've decided to remodel my room, so I started on that this morning. My parents went to Thrift Town, and my Mother picked me up some coupons and the unicorn book in the first photo. :)

I've been stressed out with school that I never fully unpacked from the pca/aca. So I finally did that today. I love the canvas totes they gave us. They're super nifty and durable.

I had a crap ton of biology studying to do and it was hard to focus. But, I know it's worth it, in the end. My parents rented two movies, so I took a hefty break to watch those with them. We watched Hitchcock and Life of Pi.

I finished my Sunday drinking a mug of tea with my Mother and eating some apples with homemade dip, compliments to the chef! (Thanx Mommy! xx)

I'm currently doing last minute work on an essay I thought was due next week, but is actually due tomorrow night. Soooo, awesome. I'm hoping to finish it up for the most part tonight so that I can do an organization post tomorrow or something like that.. if not, I have a hit or shit product review in the queue.

 Stephen got me the new book on Kurt Vonnegut that has all of his letters and old photos in it. I'm beyond stoked about that.
I adore these guys. :)
I really couldn't ask for better friends. They're all equally important to me. I've known all of them since the start. I've been friends with them since I moved here four years ago, and they're honestly the few people I've really kept in contact with and kept being friends with since graduation. I love these guys to bits, seriously.

I'm headed to an "ugly christmas sweater" themed party tonight. So, I'll try to include some photos of that in my Christmas post or some other random post. It'll be super fun. I've been documenting christmas around our house all month, so I'll have a nice collective christmas stop motion to do after actual Christmas Day is over and done with. :)

This week has been stressful because of the preparations for finals week and trying to get back in the groove of blogging regularly again. It's crazy around these parts of Texas also with the weather and such!

But, yesterday we had my little sister's 12th birthday party. (just the party, her actual birth date is the 18th of this month.)

Snippets Sunday! *late

Late! I can't even with myself! I totally had this all ready, I just had to insert the photos, and I totally spaced it. I've been doing that a lot lately. School is going by so quickly.

I've  been working on homework and watching Rules of Engagement all day. (multitasking :p)

I got a text around 8PM. My friend Erik came and picked me up. :)

Last night Jasmine came over, and we rang in her birthday at 12:00AM.

Then today I went to CVS looking for something helpful for my hair.

  I got this Dr. Miracle's Deep Condition Treatment. It was a dollar, and I hope it helps. If you've tried it, tell me down below in the comments. :)

And this Garnier Fructis flat iron perfector. I was looking for the tresemme heat protector and couldn't find it. But, this was there and only like three bucks, so I decided to try it.

Snippets Sunday!

 This is one of my rats, her name is George. :)

I studied pretty much all dang day! So sorry this post is late.

I also moved my makeup around. I found an easier way to store it all. This shelf is just the stuff I wear on a daily basis, big palettes that didn't fit with everything else, and stuff that needs to be reviewed. I got a desk with a lap drawer, and almost everything else fits in it.

For my birthday last month my Dad got me this book about unicorns... I am so in love with it. I looked through it today when I took a break from studying.

During my break from studying also, my family and I bought an elliptical for our garage from a friend of mine from college. If you haven't noticed from my right sidebar, I am on myfitnesspal and have lost 8 pounds so far. My mom has lost about 40, but she's been doing it longer than I have. We got a pretty good deal on the elliptical, she charged us $30 for it. So, I'm pretty stoked about that.

Also during my break I went on a walk with my Mother to Walmart to drop off some film. I ended up buying House on Haunted Hill. :) Haha. Tomorrow I have a test online in the morning, and then I'll be going to Party City with my friend, Robert. I will also hopefully finish editing everything for the huge collective haul and have it posted tomorrow! Maybe even an ootd, we'll see. :)

Today, I got up at like

I needed new face primer, sooooo I picked this up at Walmart today.
We'll see how it goes.

Snippets Sunday.

Last night I got my tattoo touched up. And then got dinner with my bestfriend Jasmine, and planned a Halloween-y movie night sometime soon.

I need to study for my first Philosophy exam. It is on Thursday and I'm really nervous.

I really need to clean up my hectic desk/vanity.

ALSO, I still need to name my newest baby rat. Any suggestions?

Thus far I've had a pretty relaxing Sunday. Also, I'm sorry these were all taken with my cellphone because I haven't charged my Sony lately, like an idiot. The first photo of my So it Goes tattoo was taken with my Sony, though. Haha.

Annnnd, instead of cleaning and studying... I am watching the new episodes of Jane by Design.

I got some new Organic Morning Blend coffee. It is amazing! I have it in my September Favorites videos, so you'll see it then. ;p

Snippets Sunday.

Today I've been working on my altered book project and cleaning up my terrariums.

Studying for philosophy.

ALSO, the really cute cloud pen I'm using was a present from my brother while he was living in Korea.



It's awesome. I still have all the packaging it came in because I loved seeing it all written in Korean.

I really am enjoying my philosophy class. I do wish the text was as interesting as the professor, but it's sadly not.

 I got this "Alien Ooze" crap as like an impulse buy at the register at Target.



Feels like a liquid, but isn't wet.

It was 50 cents, and I do not regret it. Haha. It is entertaining. ;p

 Tomorrow I'll be going shopping with my friend Sierra and her boyfriend Shelby. I am on the search for a dress for my birthday on Friday.
